Summer of Color -- Week 5 -- 2 Greens and 1 Pink

Super fun and bold this week! Green is an easy-peasy color for me, as well as, pink! However, I had a little bit of a difficult time deciding what I was going to do!

So, I decided to re-do a painting I learned how to do a few weekends ago at one of those paint studios. You know, the ones you bring your wine and your friends and walk out a painter!? Yeah, one of those! This particular place is called The Painted Conch. It was a casual Sunday afternoon date with my momma.

Our original painting was done in blues and purples. So, I thought... "Why not do it in greens and pink!?"

I finished pretty quickly and I am happy with how it came out. I feel like it may need something, but then I also feel like it's perfect just the way it is! :)

What'd ya think!?

This is my original! I love it, too! I am looking for the perfect spot on the wall for it! :)

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! :)

  3. Oooooo! I like them both, however I'm drawn to blue version more, just because I'm not really a pink person.

    1. Thanks so much Sharon! Check out www.paintnite.com These are usually artists in your area that, I believe, are contracted by the company. They usually do those type of classes at a restaurant. I've painted in a Mexican restaurant before. Yummy snacks, and fun painting! :)

    1. Thanks Linda! That was a new pink that happened to catch my eye in Target! So, it was almost fate that pink happened to be one of the color options this week.

  10. I like them both, but I think I like the purple and blue best, but I'm not much of a pink gal. Glad you became a painter after a few glasses of wine (grin). You learned a LOT!!

    1. hehe... Normally I would have a glass of wine during a class. However, this class I only had water due to being on meds! (Which is maybe why I remembered the technique so well!) ;) I am drawn to the blues as well, but I like the background better on the pink one!
