So, I decided to re-do a painting I learned how to do a few weekends ago at one of those paint studios. You know, the ones you bring your wine and your friends and walk out a painter!? Yeah, one of those! This particular place is called The Painted Conch. It was a casual Sunday afternoon date with my momma.
Our original painting was done in blues and purples. So, I thought... "Why not do it in greens and pink!?"
I finished pretty quickly and I am happy with how it came out. I feel like it may need something, but then I also feel like it's perfect just the way it is! :)
What'd ya think!?
This is my original! I love it, too! I am looking for the perfect spot on the wall for it! :)
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! :)

I'm liking the pink better. They are both nice pieces.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteWow, fabulous, I like the blue one :)
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs

Thanks Maarit! :)
DeleteOooooo! I like them both, however I'm drawn to blue version more, just because I'm not really a pink person.
ReplyDeleteI am a blue person too! :)
DeleteI wish we had one of those kinds of classes in my area! I love BOTH of y our paintings so much! Your first one is gorgeous, and I absolutely LOVE the one you created using this week's SOC colors. I think it is perfect the way it is!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Sharon! Check out www.paintnite.com These are usually artists in your area that, I believe, are contracted by the company. They usually do those type of classes at a restaurant. I've painted in a Mexican restaurant before. Yummy snacks, and fun painting! :)
Deletethey are both so wonderful, but I am so taken with that vibrant pink!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda! That was a new pink that happened to catch my eye in Target! So, it was almost fate that pink happened to be one of the color options this week.
DeleteBeautiful in pink! (I've heard of those studios. Sounds like fun.)
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary! The studios are super fun! I highly recommend checking one out in your area! If there's aren't studios per say, check out paintnite.com :)

DeletePerfect as it is! Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan! :)
DeleteI like them both, but I think I like the purple and blue best, but I'm not much of a pink gal. Glad you became a painter after a few glasses of wine (grin). You learned a LOT!!
ReplyDeletehehe... Normally I would have a glass of wine during a class. However, this class I only had water due to being on meds! (Which is maybe why I remembered the technique so well!) ;) I am drawn to the blues as well, but I like the background better on the pink one!
DeleteI definitely like the pink/green version the best, that seems more cheerful to me.
ReplyDeletevisiting from SOC, have a lovely day.
Thanks Lissa! :)
